There are lots of singers in the Nepali film industry who are involved in the Nepali music industry. When Nepali music starts to record, there are countless female singers because there is discrimination between males and females at that time. Many females did struggle to come out in society and masses. They came out with their unique voice and melodious voice. Then they create history in the Nepali music industry. Today I am going to write about the Top ten Nepali female singers. There are lots of talented singers but I am putting them by the reason of their hard work and popularity in the Nepali music market. 1. Tara Devi.

Tara Devi is a very famous female singer in Nepal. She is also known as a Voice of queen nightingale of Nepal, Swor Samargyi, and the various name also. 

her voice is so sweet like the cuckoo birds. Everybody loves her songs. She gave her whole life to the Nepali music industry and entertain to Nepali audience. She starts her career at the age of seven with the song “Saguri wari ni hou “.

 During her career, she would earn a small amount of money which is Rs. 5. (nowadays Rs 123=$1 dollar). She has recorded more than 4000 songs and given many hit songs also. Like Ukali Orali Haruma , Kali pari dai kati ramro , phoolko Thunga , Ghamle pani maya .

 She has achieved many awards also. like Mahendra Ratna, Indra Rajya Laxmi award, Chhinalata award, and many more. She died at the age of 60. but her songs will never die. Taradevi contributes her whole life to Nepali music so I am putting her in the " top ten Nepali female singers" .

2. Aruna lama

Aruna lama is a very popular name among the Nepali people. She was famous and she is famous till now. She is also known as, the Nightingale of hills. Her voice is very melodious. She won a music competition at the age of 11 Then her career goes up. 

She has sung for many Nepali films also. She has recorded more than 100 songs but most of them hit songs like “Lahare Bara Ghumaune Chautari “, “Pohor saal khusi faatyo”, “Eh kanchha malai sunko tara”, Eklai basda and many more.

 She has achieved many awards also like Chiinalata git puraskar (Kathmandu 1992). Gorkha Dakshin Bahu 4^th (Kathmandu 1996), Nightingale of hills ( Hindustan Recording Sangathan (Kolkata), Swar kinnari (Sitaram Shahitya Pratistha), and many more. 

She died at the age of 52 but her song is till now very famous. Most of the Newcomers are practice her song.
Aruna Lama also contributes her whole life to Nepali music so I am putting her in the " top ten Nepali female singers".

3. Gyanu Rana

Gyanu Rana is a very famous Nepali singer name. She is not a pop, folk, and a modern singer also. Her father was also a Great Singer who is known as a Janakabikeshari Dharmaraj Thapa and she has the blood of his father. After completing school living certificate level (S.L.C,) She starts to learn music and Baroda India. After that, her father also supports her to come into the music industry. 

Then she starts to give back-to-back hit songs like Manchheko Maya yaha, sirima Siri, and many more. She has achieved many awards also like Chinna lata puraskar, Indra Rajya Laxmi puraskar, Prabal Gorkha Dakshin Bahu, Rajyavishek padak, and many more. She can speak Nepali, Hindi, English, and Bengali also. She has visited many countries like India, China, Bangladesh, Thailand, Singapore, etc.

4. Kunti Moktan

Kunti Moktan is a famous modern and folk singer from Darjeeling India. She came to Nepal in 1983 for her musical career. She starts her career with the voice test of India radio. Then she records her first song all on Indian radio at the age of 15. Then her second song is recorded on Radio Nepal. 

She has recorded many Nepali songs and given many hit songs also, like Dharan dhankura , khutta tandai gara , aamale Maya gari, Choli ramro, Bhanchhan kohi, and many more. She has performed her stage performance in more than 20 countries, like India, the USA, Japan, Hongkong and many more countries. She have achieved many awards also like the Chiinnalata Geet puraskar, Hits FM music award and many more. 

Her husband Shila Bahadur Moktan also a famous musician in Nepal and her two daughters Sital and Sivan moktan also involved in Nepali music. Now her age is 53. 5. Anju Panta

Anju Panta is a famous Gajal and playback singer also. She has sung many ghazals, sentimental songs, and film songs also. Anju Panta Sang more than 100 hit songs and she has sung for more than 20 films also. When Her Gazal “Na birse Timilai Na Paye timilai “ get very popular in the Nepali music market . 

She has recorded many songs like na birse timilai , Tirkha lagyo pani khaye , dil yo mero dil , Sagar sari, and many more. After the divorce from his husband Manojraj, she has changed her religion from Hindu to Christian and his fans are angry with her. 

She has achieved many music awards also. like hits FM music award, the best record of the year, and many more. Now her age is 38 and still working in the music industry. Nowadays she is busy with her stage performance.  Best of luck with her career from my blog. 6. Rajina Rimal

Rajina Rimal is a very famous eastern and western patterns young energetic singer today. She was interested in music from her childhood. She started her career from the song first recorded song,” Basantako “. 

After that, She came after two years came with her solo album. but that album didn’t take the market. Then director Bikash Acharya gives a proposal to sing her in his film,” Nai Nabhannu la”. Then her song aru kho aaun naaun. Nai nabhannu la get popular. After that, she mustn’t look back. 

She gives back-to-back hit songs. Then she gives many hit songs like "  paniko phoka ", "pagal ma banna sakchu", and many more. She has won many music awards also.  Now her age is 26 years and now she is one of the best-demanded singers for stage performance. Nowadays she is busy with concerts and film songs. 7. Indira Joshi

Indira Joshi is a very talented singer, dancer, and model also who came from the reality show,” Nepali Tara”. She was top ten finalists in that reality show. She is also known as a Nepali Sakira. 

Her stage performance is always so beautiful and attractive. Her songs make in a dancing mood for his fans. She gets popularity from the song,” Rato Ghaghara”. Afte that she gave back to back hit songs like udhreko choli , Kali Kali , Kasiye hera  cholika tuna , Tutyo Tara , Ek palta , sabai kura dekhidinchhu and so many more.

8. Manila Sotang

Manila Sotang is a very popular singer. His husband Uday sotang is also a very famous singer. She came from Darjeeling, India to do something in the Nepali music industry. Her voice was so sweet that her uncle told her to sing Bhajan.

 Then he starts to sing. When she sang songs for Nepali movies then we give back-to-back hit songs. She has 10 music albums in with partnership his husband Uday Sotang. 

She have give many hit songs, like ukali chadahuala , sang sangai hasna man lagchha , bhijyo sirani raat ma and many more. Now her daughter Shreya sotang is also a very famous singer. 9. Devika Pradhan  

Devika pradhan is a very famous playback singer. She also know as devika bandana. She was born in Ilam(Eastern part of Nepal ) Then came to Kathmandu to achieve success in music. She was interested in music from her childhood. 

She gave many hit songs like yo maya k ho ago hoki pani ho, Hiuma chhareko , aachha liken landanko chisole and many more .She has recorded more than 200 Nepali songs.

 She has sung for many Nepali films also. And one of the best points is that she has achieved more than 20 awards for her song like the Kollywood cine award, an award from international youth, the san Miguel music award, the Nepal motion picture award, Gorkha Dakshin Bahu, Star FM Samman, and many more. 10. Reema Gurung Hoda

Reema Gurung Hoda is also a very famous singer in Nepal. She is a famous musician Prakash Gurung daughter. She has sung for many Nepali movies also. When she passed S.L.C. She gave a voice test in Radio Nepal and passed. Then her music career start. Her song Kasko aakha laagyo barai is very famous song. She gives many hit songs like Timi hasne po  , kasko Akha lagyo barai , Jhari pachhi and many more . God bless her for her further career.
